Slow news day or “fear mongering” …?

With everything that is probably newsworthy in Canada…

Why would CNEWS run a story from Portland Oregon about a woman accidentally wounded?

or…

Why would CityNews.ca Staff run a story about a 4 year-old from Ohio who alledgedly shot the babysitter?

What relevance does it have to everything going on in Canada.

Two words. Fear Mongering.

If someone isn’t shot in Canada and provide a heaping helping of bullshit to the gun control agenda. It must be imported so that people are made afraid.

The laws of possession and use in the US are different. Full Stop.

There is no education in the articles. If there was any attempt to “educate” the writers would have provided some factual information concerning proper use and regulations as it pertains to Canada.

There isn’t any balance to the articles. The writers could have done some simple research by calling knowledgeable people.

Like, say…well…the National Firearms Association or the Canadian Shooting Sports Association. Search engines are your friend if you want to do some serious research. To SERIOUSLY discuss an issue.

But noooooooooooooo… that wouldn’t do. Would it?

Cut and paste. Smear and fear. If it bleeds, it leads.

Subliminally say “America and guns are bad”. Indirectly repeat the mantra of His Blondness and his sidekick Mr. Vaughn.

“Plop! Plop! Fizz! Fizz!…Oh what a crock of lies he gives! Or whatever that ad jingle was years ago.

But, I digress.

I’m suspicious about the circumstances regarding the four year old. I have no proof. I won’t comment further.

As to the neighbour that was so brilliant as to toss, instead of place, a loaded firearm onto the bed? Well, he’s a felon. He wasn’t supposed to have the firearm in the first place. I’m also a tad suspicious of that scenario as well. If he had obeyed the law and not possessed it…

What? Oh yeah. He’s a criminal. He didn’t obey the law before. Looks like the law didn’t matter…again.

What’s the common factor in these pieces? They are junk journalism that perpetuates “fear” among the uneducated readers who will take this spoon-fed crap as gospel and clamour to be “saved” by a non-solution provided by a non-leader.

Who needs epicac? Just fold these articles up in a plastic bag and include them with a First Aid Kit.

You never know when you might need to make a person puke.
